I simply loved， loved， loved Dear Grumpy Boss！ The story of Elise and Weston made my day。 I have been swooning over that delicious man for hours now， and I hope to read many more books just like this one by Julia Wolf in the coming months， years。 If you are into brother’s best friend who is also my boss type of romance fan featuring an alpha who would share his pickle with his one true love just for a glimpse of her smile， then you’ve got to one click Dear Grumpy Boss immediately！

3。5 ⭐️Dear Grumpy Boss was a fairly enjoyable read。 I do have some mixed feelings though， as there were parts I really enjoyed and unfortunately parts I really disliked。It is dual POVs of the main characters， Elise and Weston， and there’s some great tropes like， close proximity， brother’s best friend， and a workplace romance。The overall premise was okay。 There were some amusing， sweet， heartbreaking and intense moments。 All the side characters and friendships in the story were also really great。 3。5 ⭐️Dear Grumpy Boss was a fairly enjoyable read。 I do have some mixed feelings though， as there were parts I really enjoyed and unfortunately parts I really disliked。It is dual POVs of the main characters， Elise and Weston， and there’s some great tropes like， close proximity， brother’s best friend， and a workplace romance。The overall premise was okay。 There were some amusing， sweet， heartbreaking and intense moments。 All the side characters and friendships in the story were also really great。 Plot-wise though， there really wasn’t much going on， as the story focused more on the relationship between Elise and Weston。I really liked Elise; she was caring， passionate and understanding。 Her insecurities were relatable and it was just beautiful to read how strong she was。 On the other hand， Weston was not my favorite to be honest。 While， I loved how passionate and in love he was with Elise， some of his actions and thoughts were quite inconsistent and frustrating。The romantic development between Elise and Weston was alright。 It did feel a bit rushed though， as I just didn’t understand where these intense feelings were coming from especially because they hadn’t spoken or seen each other in years。 So their shift to lovers felt a bit sudden in my opinion。 I would have liked more romantic buildup or more snippets of their history of when they were younger。I will say though， the sexual tension and spice between them was definitely the main highlight of this book for me。 I also really loved all the notes and emails they exchanged; their banter was really sweet and funny。The third act conflict and how that was handled， was honestly my biggest issue with this book。 Weston royally messed up and even though he did grovel， it just didn’t feel like enough。 I actually wanted to see the changes he promised happen or snippets of him putting her first， because I personally just feel like Elise would still be an afterthought if anything happens again。The epilogue was really sweet though and a nice conclusion to Elise and Weston’s story。 Overall， a decent read with amazing spice。 。。。more

Elliot’s is quiet but still effective。 He would truly go to the ends of the universe for her， and this can be seen firsthand when he， no questions asked relocated her and helped her go ‘ghost。’ Elise was always so thankful for him and knew that their relationship was something special and not one that all families have， but I guess that’s what trauma does to you。 Even though he was four years older than her， he still respected her as a person。 They truly just wanted the best for one another and it was amazing to witness again and again The friendship between Elliot and Weston was also so beautiful。 （view spoiler）[One of the earliest scenes we are shown is of them at ten years of age where Elliot comes up with a plan and stands up for Weston against his parents。 （hide spoiler）] They always had each others back。 It was so amazing to read a brothers best friend book where the brother doesn’t go crazy， take away his sisters agency， and forbid the relationship。 He listened， saw that they made each other happy， still stated his reservations （view spoiler）[（since he was very much aware of his best friends workaholic tendencies that have ruined past relationships） （hide spoiler）]， but did so whilst being respectful。 He honestly wanted the absolute best for both his sister and best friend I wouldn’t say there was OW/OM drama since they were kinda irrelevant after a while - Elise’s ex got the point that they were over （you know an author is good at their job when I was damn near in tears at their final conversation）， and Weston’s ex got kicked out… literally。 The conflict here was believable and realistic。 It’s great to see a romance book with adults that act their age， allow each other to have agency， and deal with their issues realistically。 （view spoiler）[Elise had a tendency to run away; Weston had a tendency to revolve his whole life around work。 His workaholic tendencies lead to strains and problems that everyone around him kept pointing out。 （hide spoiler）] I’m usually not a fan of the third act breakup but I do believe it was necessary here especially due to the fact it was to do with the culmination of the overarching issue that was there since the start of their relationship - and even earlier on for Weston - and something needed to giveOnly thing I wish was different is that （view spoiler）[I wish we got an explanation for Patrick’s behaviour。 I am also of the belief that closure is not a real destination to reach at the conclusion of a relationship and I understand why the story played out how it did， but I’m nosy fr and just wanna peak at the email lol （hide spoiler）]All the side characters were amazing and added to the story！ I need books on Luca， her brother Elliot， all her friends， even Miles。 I wouldn’t even mind Patrick getting his own story - but one very far away from our girl Elise。 I have an inkling that the next book could be SaoirseLuca。 Even though we didn’t see them in a scene together， I feel like there’s something there that could be explored。 Either way， I’m looking forward to the rest of this series and and revisiting this friend group 。。。more
